For the past month I've been going on and on about all the things I've been doing. I thought I would take a moment to brag on my daughter, Sara. She has been quilting for the past 4 years and has made four quilts, along with a few other quilted items. She has entered her quilts at the county fair and has scored awards each year. This past summer she won Best of Show at the San Diego County Fair, as well as, Junior Grand Champion at the Ramona Junior Fair! Did I mention that she's only 12?! How I wish I had started quilting when I was 8! I have so many ideas crammed in my head - I wouldn't be able to make them all even if I quilted 'til I was 100!

Sara spent a few years collecting all of the fabric for her quilt. (yes, she even has her own fabric stash!) She came up with her own pattern and then she freehand quilted it on the long arm. I hope and pray that she will continue to sew into her adult years because she's a natural. Right now, she's torn between riding her horse and creating things. I'm sure if she could get a sewing machine onto the back of a horse, she'd be sewing everyday!
